I ran the stock "Fireblow ATX's" to about 50,000 miles. I was pleased with them, probably could have gotten another 5 to 10 K out of them. I bought a set of Michelin XC LT4 load range E tires and have about 33,000 miles on them and they are not holding up like I thought they would. I don't think I will be able to get 50K out of them. I kept the size at 245's on the 16 inch rim because that is what the truck was designed to use. I would like to have at least a 265 on there, but for mileage purposes etc., I will keep the stock size on there. What tires are you guys using and what king of mileage are you getting out of them?

I'm out of tread on my Dunlop Radial Rover AT's 235/85/R15 after @30,000 miles. Stock PYO rims. I'm probably going to go to Michelins this time, for better wear and handling.
Question-
It's undoubtedly already been answered a dozen times, but if I increase size to a 285/75/R16, do I need 8" rims, or can I still use my PYO's? Thanks.

I have just installed my 3rd set of BF Goodrich All Terrains. I got 90-95K miles out of the first 2 sets. They were 285s. This time I went to 265s. They are expensive tires but with 3 plies in the sidewalls they are damn good rubber. Let me explain that I have them rotated and ballanced every 6K and most of my driving is highway. Just turned over 200K on my 01 D/A.:stirthepo

Go for a harder compound tire rated for 50-60K, traction wont be as good but they will last longer..
Revos are great, but the longevity sux

I had 55K miles on my BFG AT/KO's and with regular rotation (every 6k) they looked as though they were good for another 10K to 15K before I sold the truck. I had 37" Goodyear MTR's on this rig and they were junk after 25K completely torn up. I went back to BFG and although there's only 10K or so on them I couldn't be happier.

Hard to beat the Michilen M/S LTX with rotation they well over 100,000 miles
I'v always run them on all my trucks, except for one set of BFG AT's ( too soft) Wore them out in one summer, 30,000 miles.

Wow. Thought I was doing good with 65000 out of a set. Could of milked may another 10000....if I had rotated properly. Screwed up late in the life of the tires, and did not rotate as I should.
