hi. i am sure this has been asked a hundred times but i couldnt find exactly the answer i was lookin for on here, so here i go......
I have an 07.5 chevy 2500hd lmm. i've just put my first new set of tires on the factory wheels and the tire pressure monitor will not shut up! everytime i start my truck it says check front right tire, check rear right tire, check left front, check left rear.... i put 305 bfg muds on it replacing the stock ones. the max tire pressure on them is 50psi and i have 45 in them. the inside door panel states 60 in the front and 80 in the rear. how do i reset the system for the lower psi tires or can i just disable the system all together? sorry if i'm beating a dead horse with this topic but the tpm is really getting annoying for me.

Dealer can reset to the pressure to a different range as needed. But cannot be disabled. If wont one do it check with another. Some can not be very friendly.

Since the TPMs are a government regulation, dealers give you guys trouble. There is a way around the system but, it requires the dealer to reflash the IPC. I do not think you will find may dealers that will be willing to do this but, some may.
Here is the process:
All dual wheel pickups are not required to TPMs. The IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) calibrations between SRW and DRW are the same except for TPM messaging. If you match options that concern the IPC with a DRW calibration, you will never see another TPM light. This requires the dealer to program a DRW IPC calibration in your SRW truck.

Had my dealer set my low warning at 40lb the max on mine is 50lbs. If you have repositioned any of the wheels you will also need to relearn the new positoins also. Tell the dealer you rotated your wheels also. If they give you a hard time pull out your manual, under the TPMS pages it talkes about rotation and if you can't get your system to relearn in under five minutes(the system only gives you five minutes before you have to start over) take it to the dealer. Its nice to get the warning lights back to normal.
