Today I had a sunroof installed. Install looks good, but I need a shorter console to make it look great. Does anyone know of a good replacement console that is shorter????

A console from a Suburban/Tahoe/Yukon with a sunroof should work well. Check Ebay.

As smshiver said check eBay there are always a lot of them there. I got one and found out it will not fit unless you have a sunroof. The guy exchanged it for one that would fit. I wanted one with the HomeLink in so I didn't have to carry my bulky garage door opener. You can tell the ones for the sunroof, they have the button to open and close the sunroof between the lights (See picture). You can probably sell the one you have now after you get one that fits.

I would think that if you go with a shorter console you are going to have a problem because the hole in the headliner is going to be for a bigger console unless the sunroof trim can somehow accommodate for that.

I bought that same one with the homelink, and the current one has a larger cut out then the shorter one from tahoe, did the home link work, is there only the ground and hot wire hook up? the one i bought had the wires cut, looks like it only has hot wire and ground wire that connects to the lights. it came with the rear air switch/fan which i don't need.

Here is a pic of the STANDARD console with a aftermarket sunroof. As you can see the console has been moved forward 2-3" to make room for the sunroof.

Hmmmmm. we need to try to find a way to make this work, I'm going to put a sun roof as well.

Use the one BigMoe posted. One just sold on Ebay for $45. Patience is a virture, but there is almost allways one on there. They WILL work with a sunroof.

So would this be the console to get if I wanna install Trippin attitude mount??? Got an 05 with the factory sunroof/homelink, just a cubby hole where those temp controls are but my cubby is only 1 1/4" high.

go look at the new silverados... i was at speed street in charlotte a couple weeks ago and they had a ext cab sunroof silverado it was sweet... it made me wanna get one i just dont know where to go, would a dealership install them?

I bet the stealer would want $200-$300 or more for a new console. I think Ill wait until I see some 05s on ebay or a junk yard.
