Has anybody installed a lower temp. thermostat. I'm in south Florida and man does this thing seem to run hot. Not over heating or anything, just hot. Anybody know the pros and cons.

Factory gage reading 210 can be anywhere from 180 to 210+ in the real world.

You will need accurate gages or an engine monitor like the Insight or DashHawk to really see H2O temps....

I would do what JIMMY suggests before you change anything.
Besides these newer vehicles are designed to run a little warmer for emissions than older vehicles.
If you make changes like that, then she might not run as well and loose mileage.
Mine, not towing shows 210 on the gauge but with the Edge Insight it shows 190, and this is in cool Az 115 degrees and rising.
I have not towed yet with the monitor to compair.

My advise, for what it is worth haha, would be to get an accurate device to get the actual temperature, like others have suggested, then keep in mind that diesels run at a higher efficiency when they are warmer, then make a decision if it would be wise to put a cooler stat in, i would guess you will not vote in favor of it.
