I did.....
Spring 520 injectors and a little custom IQ tuning via Vagcom
Straight pipe
Oldman Intake

Air/Oil seperator, and turned down the EGR via Vagcom

Ive been thinking about stage 1 RC, not necessarily for more power, but rather to smooth out the boost/power curve.....Ive got a first gear surge.

Ide also like to lift it about an inch / inch and a half.....but that might never happen........

I have a mufflerectomy (muffler deleted), removed snow screen, RC Euro Stage III (The Euro tune is the one that works good with bigger injectors/nozzles), boostvalve set at 22lbs to prevent the boost from spiking over 22lbs, I will be putting on some Kerma pp520 injectors soon.

Tony, Ive heard that the intake buildup problem is a tad more severe with PD's. You may want to get the CCV air/oil seperator on there ASAP.

The CAT filter is good too, but be aware of potential trouble with dealerships if the need arises.

Ide say go with whatever Jeff reccomends. Ive heard stage two gets you ~260 ftlb.

Hey guys I'm new to this site and diesel's for that matter. I've got a question is there any thing you can do to help slow down the soot build up in the intake system or is it from what I've read apart of VW's engineering? Also do you guy's know of any place to get rebuid parts for the GT1749V turbo?

go to the tdiclub.com

They are the experts.

Any diesel with an EGR is going to have soot accumulation problems. Stop the soot, stop the oil, or stop both.

Ive been there thats where I found out how to clean up my intake system. Now I wanna know if theres any thing I can do to help prevent/ slow it down. A VW mecanic told me off the record if it was his car he'd rerought the ccv hose with a catch bottle and this would help alot but I did'n know if you guy's new any other tricks. do you know where to get GT1749v parts?

I got an WW2 aircraft air/oil seperator. It catches quite a bit of oil.

It is interesting, because the studies that the folks at the TDIclub have done show that CARB states that use low sulfur diesel have MUCH less intake clogging problems. Less soot.

So I think/hope that next year when the fuels go to low sulfur we wont be seeing these problems continue.

Of course biodiesel also takes great care of the intake.........
