i am going to start a swap on a 1965 chevy K20 4x4 when i get home from iraq in august. i have the motor and the ECU from that motor, but i have been told that i need a standalone wiring harness to do the swap. i dont know anything about this so advice would be great. i heard PPE has one for 1200 that is great. i just dont know if i need one or if i do where to find one. thanks

I have no idea how PPE sets their standalone harness up, so no help there. You could contact DuraToTheMax (Ben) and ask him his thoughts....hes an electrical genius.

PE will modify your harness to make it stand-alone. If you have patience though you can do it yourself with either an ALLDATA subscription or factory manuals. Mine is running, but I am fighting with some injector problems from my remans.
