does it really matter were they are made, all american companies just get them made in china for them, and their is nothing wrong with them either.

Yea It does matter to me for two reasons 1 we are giving china the money to buy us with and 2 I don't want to spend $ 150-200 for rim and have them look like the factory ones that i have.

That is a false statement. Not all AMERICIAN companies get there wheels made in china. I try to buy americian when i can even though i don't agree with obama's rediculous bail out shitt

ok....most of them are made in china, wether you buy american made or from china it aint goin to make or break the country, money is money and when you can save a buck why not.....I got ULTRA rims, they say on the box MADE IN USA, but stamped on the rim is china, its a U.S company but they still get them made in china....why?, because they can get someone else to make them cheaper than they can themselves. But i do understand that their are a few actually made in your country, just be prepared to spend more money. Also mine were $370 a set and they dont look like cheap factory rims.

I also do my best to support this country. I will spend the extra bucks to buy american made items.

1stchevy - Glad to see your supporting this country! God bless you!

2004dmax - If you don't like supporting this country or spending your money/investing in things here or made here, get out. Thats half of the problem with the U.S. today, people like you not understanding that simple fact.

Guys... Here's the thing to remember. This whole manufacturing dilemma is a big pendulum. As China and other developing countries continue to prosper their cost of living and standard of living is going to increase. Once it gets to a certain point it will become cheaper to make things here. Manufacturing will come back to the USA, rest assured. It may, however, take another 5-10 yrs.

Out of a job yet, Keep buying foreign

You have no clue how a world market works. Tariffs that are skewed to one side! Manipulation of a currency! Labor laws that promote a child work force! With a work force that is given no alternative to a safe work place! All the things we learned about workplaces at the turn at the century to the 30's, the Chinese are doing now to increase the profitability of product that are copies of other countries ideas. The number one foreign automaker in Japan is Mercedes at 8%. The tariffs on products brought there are so high; there is no market for outside products. Read a book once in a while. Learn how things really work!
