Well not really park it. I'm just looking for opinions as i've seen a bunch i like and wonder what the prefferences here are.

1500 Regular cab 2 x 4 (93 - 94?) $7000 - 157,000 km's (6.5 Turbo Diesel on the back of the box if that helps identify the year.)

1500 Ext cab 4 x 4 (97) 195,000 km's, good looking truck but to hi on the price tag of $17000. Funny thing here is it has what looks like an intake air heater from the factory right out the outlet of the air box??

Lots of 2500 ext cabs 4 x 4's

Lots of 3500 ext cabs & crew cabs 4 x 4's

What kind of truck do you like and whats with that 97 with the intake air heater?

Heres a nice looking dually.

I think that is a Mass Airflow Meter. So, I also beleive that would be an S engine.

I like that dually. I've still got my eye on the '93 K3500 CC dually automaic with 200,000K down the street. Asking price is down to $4995 usd now, but I think it will sell for less than 3995.

Yes on the S with MAF sensor, on high side I paid $19K US for my 98 K1500 37K miles mint condition in 2000, for $17K it needs to be in extra mint condition before I'd go there.

I'd go with something younger than 1994, that's when GM changed the dashboard.
Just can't stand the old dashboard style. I think OBD I is a little easier to mess around with, but then there is a dual thermostat issue (lack of such) , on other hand anything younger than 1996 has weaker bottom end (from what I hear). Regardless, I think significantly lower mileage should take precedence.
You might get lucky with a 1996 - best of the both worlds.

Crew cab gives you all the extra dry workroom you could hope for, short of a Suburban - pun intended.

Short- and long-bed versions available.

.If you like the choo choo look, a long-bed cc dooley, and dunk it.........

Or, just GEP your x-cab

CR>There's a 2000 chevy K2500HD 6.5 diesel, like mine here in Winnipeg asking $18,800 Here's the site:http://www.canadatrader.com/result/detailinfo.aspx?ID=6953454&pgno=1

It's got 180,000 Km's. Give them a call if your interested, and if you ready like it, I'll go down and take some pics for you. I'll even set the camera on movie mode so you can see it running.

Thanks for looking around. Doesn't appear to be my style with the long box. I've found a short box S engine for 17,000, & 196K, probably get it for $15,000 and no PST, but i haven't decided yet. Its a GMC, never owned one before, i thought GMC & Chevy were identical but when i looked under the hood it sure appeared to have alot more room at the back of the engine/firewall than a Chevy??

Same Line, Same days (I believe), just different trim. Those rumors come from the fact that GMC's and Chevy's used to come from different plant and built totally different, 1960'ish time frame, Thats why alot some of the more experinced (older) crowd refer to them as being different.

Its like a Mazda Pickup / Ford Ranger, Isuzu / S-10, Bravada / Jimmy etc...
Same truck exactly, just different grill, trim, logo and options package. Made in the same place by the same people with the same parts.

I like it for being a CC dually. 4x4? I know the newer ones have the best interiors as well.
