I was pulling a trailer last week when my my tranny cut out! It slammed out of gear when it hit second, ses light came on then wouldn't even come out of gear. I dogged it to the nearest crossroad where i found that all I had was second and reverse!! Took it to the dealership for nsbu, but it is still doing it. If you you clear out the codes it will go through the gears if u baby it. As soon as you even try to get in it hard it throws a code saying incorrect second gear ratio!! Whats the deal????

Incorrect second gear ratio means a slip in second gear. C4 clutch. This is not common unless you were in T/H which would mean converter clutch slipping.

Your name is 'stackedmax' does that mean you are stacking boxes? Is your tranny stock? What year is your truck? Under warranty?

Please post all the information about your truck in your signature. It will help us help you.

No I am not stacking boxes. I have an 03 with 5'' stacks an afe stage 2 intake and currently running a hypertech. I recently put in the bully dog shift enhancer (bad idea after reading all the posts). My truck does have an extended warranty and dealership is cool with all the mods since we own 5 dmaxes! Just don't have a clue what to do. Thought about putting stock springs back in tranny but what do I do about the dtrilled out plate??

This did all start while the T/H was on but now it doesn't matter! It will throw the code every time you heavy throttle.
