This stuff is a clear film like what comes standard on our trucks leading edge of the rear fenders. Wondering if anybody has installed this stuff. Never liked the looks of a "bug" shield and after just a few thousand miles I already have a couple chips on the front of the hood and would like some protection. Seen a couple of pre-cut kits available but wondering if this stuff easy to install or leave it to a pro? Anybody have any pictures?

Thanks

I am sorry I am not going to be much help, but I have it on the front of my hood and it works great. Unfortunately it was on my truck when I bought it so I cannot tell you how difficult it was to install. Looks pretty straight forward other than I can imagine it may not be that forgiving if you start applying it and it starts running crooked or you get bubbles or something, just how hard it would be to back up or peel it up to restart. Sorry again, but I do like it!

I had my hood, back fenders and front rockers clear filmed when I bought mine. Its great stuff I plan on getting the rest of the rocker panels done shortly.

How does it hold up against 3/4" rocks that my tires fling out. I need to cover my rocker but dont want to line x?

I used it on my Rockers before I did my truck with Line-X Extra. It was good for awhile but it started to yellow after a couple of years and kind of discoloured the lower part of the truck, however I never had any complaints about the protection it provided before it started to peel, but it's nothing close to the Line-X. IMHO, It's OK for small pebbles and such but I can't vouch for it when it comes to 3/4" rocks.
