Ok I know that there was a huge thread on bug deflectors on the old forum but I have a question that wasn't answered in that thread. There's a truck that parks at my school and it's got a chrome bug deflector on it made by a company called stampede products. Turns out that this is actually a plastic bug deflector that is chromed. Does anyone know anything about these? Are they a good quality product?

A quick google search led me to this (http://accessory-center.com/prod.plx/30/5232/3726?f1=GMC&f4=2004&f2=Sierra) vendor who carries them in case you wanna see one. Too bad it's on a furd, they look better on a GM :D

well, what ever you do, don't get the camo rocker panel covers made by stampede! they were junk,-:t; got them from the same site.
the camo peeled off the backing so i ripped the whole stuff off, now i have these nice 3M glue stripes all the way down my truck. been working on getting it off for about a month.

My son has a Stainless Steel bug deflector on his 2004 GMC, it looks good. He said to do a search for Stainless Steel Bug Deflectors, that is how he found his. He is not sure were he got it. Some of the supporting venders may handle them. I would try them first.

Yeah, I bought a conventional plastic AVS one at autozone... installed it in the parking lot. Alot of people have those chrome ones, google it
