Since I've had my truck, it's chirped to acknowledge the are/disarm, lock/unlock when I use the key fob.

Last week I brain farted and locked the doors with the remote and then shut the door. Now it doesn't chirp! I can't figure out how to make it go back....

I've tried everything I can think of -- I even resorted to reading the manual. :eek:

Any ideas how to get the chirp back?

BTW, no aftermarket alarm - just factory.

If it chirps it can't be factory. The factory system does not come with a siren of any kind. If it honks the horn that is a different story. It may have been dealer installed before you bought the truck but it is not an OEM option.

If you are using the factory key fob, try hitting the horn button quickly, and then arm the system. If I remember correctly, doing this before arming or disarming will silence or unsilence the chirp. Give it a try.
