Just installed the Predetor on the Tow setting. Man does it SMOKE. Only when you floor it, WOT!!!
Is this normal or is only in the Tow setting??
I Don't have my gauges yet so don't really want to pump up the power yet.
PS
my cummins I had before this had no smoke. Had tow fuel boxes on it.. Banks and Bully Dog. Like the Banks better

Define "a lot of smoke"......
The 100hp program smokes like a banshee...and your trans probably won't like it without an upgrade..
IIRC, the 40 would smoke a bit, but nothing that would "fog a lane of traffic" if you will...

Ran the Predator alone for 4 months, mostly in 1 & 2 since I didn't yet have exhaust & gauges. I didn't think the thing smoked that bad... Certainly not like she does now with the edge on 4 or 5.

On 65 mine puts out a little cloud when I get on it, clears up right away as the turbo spools up.

mmm smoke:cool: . Predator on high with VA stack will fog a lane at WOT. With dual exhausts, I mean the WHOLE lane.
Mine also smokes some at WOT with the Predator tow tune alone.

The smoke is how you get quick throttle response. Gives it some fuel to spool the turbo quicker.

It's normal, my truck will put some pretty good smoke out, especially in the 2,3,and 4th gears. I run the 40hp too.

:D That reminds me, just yesterday I started her up, revved it a lil, and left the parking lot, when I got to the highway I rolled into the throttle and then got on it almost flooring it. I have never seen so much soot in my life. At least 4 times the normal I see with Predator on 100 and juice on 5x5. This was f****** crazy smoke. It just sat there and didn't move. Don't know how I did it, but I gotta practice some more. That was awesome.:ro)

Should try it in mountains. I live at 6500 ft. 1/2 throttle can stop traffic.

should smoke even more on the highest setting......:)
