i was bored so I disconnected the muffler at the 4 bolt flange position.....essentially leaving the MBRP cat delete pipe the only exhaust piping on the truck... sounds cool! like a big block V8 gasser. the turbo whistle is LOUD!!

how does the real 4" straight pipe from MBRP or similiar sound? is the turbo whistle as LOUD ? does the additional metal quiet the v8 gasser sound a little? it doesnt evensound like a diesel the way I had it today.....

got strange looks from people when the VV turbo changed positions.... or at least i thought they were looking funny at me... coulda been me that was funny lookin:grd:

I installed the full MBRP straight pipe and it sounds awesome. At idle, it sounds like an old 70s Lincoln at full throttle with a big ol' muffler, just a rushing air sound. Every now and then at idle it'll change to a really low rumble, even cooler. The turbo whistle is more pronounced. At full throttle, it sounds like your tires are spinning. Not the squealing tire spinning sound, more like the scratchy, tire-slippin-loose type sound. I have noticed when pulling my trailer that the drone can get quite loud at steady speeds, but I was sorta used to that when I had a Flowmaster on my 6.0 Chevy. Overall, I don't think I'll be reinstalling my MBRP muffler....
