is it beneficial to use tow/haul for 1/4 mile drag racing, since the convertor is locked? just curious.

Experiment, Some say dosnt matter, some say it does, some get better in reg mode.

Your trans will lock up a WOT but a tad different than normal I believe

anytime you can get the converter to lock, your putting more power down then unlocked, more power, providing traction is there, faster you go.

Lock it and rock it.

When I had just the HJAT I would get better results with T/H OFF even with an upgraded tranny since the Juice would not raise the rev limiter. The 2-3 shift would "hang" for a few tenths before shifting.

Since then I added the Quad215 to produce the "Bastard Stack" and now the Quad raises the rev limiter to 4400 so I'm able to get that extra 300-400rpm needed for a proper 2-3 shift and I now get better results with T/H ON.

The main difference between the T/H ON or OFF at WOT is that with T/H ON the TC will lock in late 2nd and with T/H OFF it will lock in early 3rd.

well, i tried the t/h last night at our track and i've only used 2wd since no tierod sleeves. anyways, massive wheels spin from 1000rpm launch edge j/a level 3 low boost 5. resulted in a pathetic 3.4 60'. you guys can tell the rest of the run is junk so i wont bother posting it. it also seemed that the shifts were slower or defueled when i have 4-5 defuel only. i only got 1 pass due to rain again, so i will try another day.

You shouldn't have any problem without sleeves lauching in 4wd under 10psi of boost. I've been doing it for 3 years and lately with a Quad215 and the HJAT without sleeves.

I have a suncoast with attitude and predator stack.. It's always slower when I launch in tow haul.. Engage tow haul after you've hit second and compare your times.. Trust me.. If you have this stack, you'll go faster.. I can't comment if it's the same with other stacks..
The truck does feel faster with tow haul on all the time, though it's not...
