Well, as some of you might remember a couple of months ago I was testing that Tornado Fuel Saver product. I didn't really think it would work for diesels but you have to try things to make an judgement/opinion on it. So since money wasn't a factor I bought one. It was product # KI-60, which is for the Duramax diesel. Here are my findings:
1.) Noticed a quicker pickup from a dead stop. - A POSITIVE.
2.) When getting on the throttle and going through the gears (WOT), I noticed that the engine seemed to starve for air or something. - A NEGITIVE.
3.) As for mpg, didn't really notice any improvements. Maybe a 1 mpg increase at best but other factors could have cause that. - A NEGITIVE.
Wish I could of done a dyno test with and without the product to see if I would have got different numbers. So, based on my opinion and test, I don't think that this product is worth it and the $55 I spent. Not a real big deal since the company offers a 120 day money back. Maybe for a gasser w/ a carb but not for our diesel rigs.
So test is complete. Don't waste your $ or your time. I did it for all of you.
FYI, I will be testing fuel additives next. See a post started by LarryJewell here: http://dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=32022
