So I'm debating whether or not to go ahead and purchase a suncoast ram air hood and possibly an airaid cold air intake to go with it. I have a couple questions before I go ahead with it though.

1. In the summer, especially when towing it seems like that damn fan is always on. Will the ram air hood make much of a difference with keeping temps down and the fan off?

2. Will I see any fuel mileage gains with the cold air intake?

3. I've read that untill you hit 500hp there's no benefits to a cold air intake? Right now the truck is stock with plans for a 4" turbo back exhaust and a programmer later this year. Will I see any hp gains from the CAI?

I'm most likely going ahead with the hood anyways just because I like the looks of it, but is the cold air intake really worth the money?

A true CAI is the way to go. I did mine along with the 4”turbo back exhaust and I notice a big difference in temps. HP gains well I am not sure, better response ya but hp I have no idea because I did not do a before and after dyno and that is the only way to tell. I did a thread on my CAI and the cost was cheap and I beleave it is probably the best or close to the best true CAI. Here is a link to my thread and maybe it will give you some ideas. Good luck.
