Paranoid oil question.

Engine warm, idling in D, I have approx. 25 lbs. Engine warm, running 65 mph (2,000 rpms) I have approx. 65 lbs.

Normal? No unusual smoke or diesel smell in oil. Although I suffer from allergies, so I don't know if the sniff test is accurate.

That's where I'm at also, using Rotella T 15w-40 oil.

about the same.. maybe a bit higher at cold warmpup at WOT... almost gets to 80

mine is very similar
using 15w-40 i have around 20 at idle when warm and around 60 when WOT and 50 cruising at highway speeds

mine has run pretty much in that range using RotellaT 15W40 for over 88,000 miles

Seems my keepers took off the strait jacket last night, but forgot to give me the meds... :crazy:

If you want to check if diesel is in the oil, pull the dipstick out and let a drop or two of oil fall on a paper towel. If there is one dark colored dot, you are ok. If the dot has a lighter colored circle around it, then diesel is in the oil.

Performing this test will take any worry out.
