Hi Guys and Girls,

I want to know which programmer would work best for me. I have an 07 vortec max with a 6.0 LTZ and auto trans and air bags. Gears are 3.73's. I pull a 27 ft. 5er and it pulls ok but I'd like some more pulling power as well as some better mpg's when not pulling. Its a daily driver that I drive 100 miles a day to work and back. Will a programmer even help? The truck is stock at this point. Any other suggestions for helping pulling power with killing mpg's would be greatly helpful. Also, would a turbo help with both power and mpg's? Thanks a bunch for your time.

EFI live and a CAI(COLD AIR INTAKE)

efi live would be your best option but cost around $800 from my understanding im going to go to blackbear you tell him what you want and he sets it up for you and is half what efi live is, a cai would help alittle to.

What kind of gains would come from that set up. The efi live and the CIA?

You can gain some HP increase over stock. The biggest feeling is removing some or all of the torque management from the transmission. GM really adds a lot to keep you from tearing things up and save them money when it comes to warranty repair. No need to have GM pay for your screw up. Cold Air Intake would help some as well. You may gain some on an exhaust but gassers need back pressure to run good off the line from what I read. To get some good HP look at a supercharger or turbo to get the air in there. EFILive is good for all the above. Might check for Jesse Bubb or Nelson Performance.
