I know quite a few of you are running the stock center caps with the Boulder H2's. The shop I brought it to couldn't seem to get them to fit. What exactly needs to be shaved down? I'm using the center caps from my stock 17" wheels.

You need to cut about an inch off the back end and shave the sides down some. At least thats what I had to do with mine to get them too fit.

There are metal clamps that come over the ends on the back. I don't see how you can shave that down. I was thinking it was the tabs on the back. Maybe those need to go down farther?

Tabs aren't enough, they'll only grab a tiny bit. I cut the whole cap, metal clamps and all, then glued them back together with that new Elmers "Nano" glue. It was a timely process, but well worth it IMHO.

Rosemont's a good hour and a half from me. ;)

^I'll figure it out then. The guy who installed the lift didn't want to shave the back because he thought it would crack. I'll give it a shot tomorrow maybe and do what you did.

Ok anybody have pics of how to do this? Or a link to a site that sells center caps for these wheels? Can I get away with using longer lugnuts maybe?

^I could always pick up a set off of Ebay. I'm guessing it's easier to shave down the older caps.

Yeah they are just plastic nothing to it really. You might even be able to pick some up on here someone might have a set. I went with black because I powder coated my hummer wheels black.

^The NBS caps for the 16" wheels should work right? The old ones are too chrome looking. Won't look good with the painted H2's I have.

Yep 16" nbs caps work. U can get by just cutting the tabs off and not cutting the whole cap. You just gotta be smart how ya tighten em down, tighten by hand and make sure the black lug covers lock in their detents. Might wanna take em off first if you take your truck somewhere to get tire rotations.

Yeah the guys at the tire changing shop don't understand that you need to take them off easy on just rip them off like they do with everything else.
