I'm afraid my nightmare is a blown head gasket, but here's the problem I have. I've noticed a very slow coolant leak in my truck over the last year and a half or so. Recently it got faster, and I did the upper radiator hose pressure check when the engine is cool in the morning, and it has tons of pressure. No matter how hot or cold the engine is it blows coolant everywhere when you take the coolant cap off. My friend who owns a shop started working on it, and he commented that the EGR is leaking where I put the block plate, and I've noticed the leak before, it is an oily substance that has a slight coolant smell to it, but it doesn't look like a bad leak and I don't think all the coolant my truck is losing is coming from that. Does anyone know if coolant can leak excessively through the EGR valve? Thanks for the help.

Its possible for the EGR cooler to leak. Excessive pressure in the cooling system can amplify that.
Based on your findings, I'm leaning towards head gasket

where is the EGR cooler located? And thanks for the reply I believe it's the head gasket too.

passenger side between valve cover and turbo it starts where you put the blocker plate

Also I meant to say, there is no milky look to the oil, but I have noticed a slight power loss every now and then kind of like the Duramax does when it needs a new fuel filter, but I changed those very recently so I know it can't be that.

sounds like a head gasket, and the oil may not be milky if its a head gasket, the pressure comes out of the cylinder, through the bad spot in the gasket, and puts excessive pressure in the coolling system and usually pushes the coolant out the overflow tube.

Same here. I had the same symptoms you have. I'm sorry to tell you but you've got a blown head gasket. Get it to the dealer quick before your warranty runs out, and be ready to be without your truck for about a month.
Here is the tread with my repair experience and one other member. It kind of gives you and idea of what to expect.
