Good Morning,

Does anyone have any experience with a Transmission heater? Similar to the Engine block heater you can plug in? Seems the tranny takes forever to get past that 100 deg mark and stays in 'safe' mode. Is it worth it from a prev maint point of view?

Being in the Northeast experiencing same climate i find it only takes but a few miles to get the temp up to normal "operating" shifting ...

Do you have the winter front on covering the rad ??

Check out John Kennedy's web page at: www.kennedydiesel.com he has the magnet type pan heaters that should work on the allison. I agree with mackin on the fact the winter cover does help the tranny heat up faster and hold the heat too.
