Can someone tell me where you messure on the ball (top or bottom) to set the right height? The spec. sheet on my trailer says 19" hitch pin height.Does that mean I want to messure where you put the safety pin in to keep it latched?Till now I've always just towed open trailers with race cars and never had to worry about that stuff much. Thanks!

When I installed my Equalizer hitch the instructions said measure from the ground to the top of the ball and from the ground to the inside of the coupler on trailer. Hope this helps.

denmen is right on... but that hieght is a guesstimate... when you load gear into your trailer , tongue weights shift, and operational height changes. The ideal setup is to load your gear, level the trailer on flat ground, then measure. set your TV ball according to mearusrement, then set load on TV...then clamp the hitchpin shut and crank' er back up and install Weight Dist. bars ---ujust wd bars until Trailer is level, as before you connected the rig. IMHO nothing else matters as much as that trailer being perfectly level running down the road. hope this helps
