I'm installing a Pop N Lock Power Tailgate lock, and have some questions on the wiring. The instructions say to pull the door panels, but I saw in previous posts that this wasnt necessary. I've found the 2 relays for the door locks, as well as the wiring harness that goes from the fuse block into the door. Is it possible to splice into the wires here, or do I have to go into the door? There isnt a Tan wire here, But there are 2 or 3 gray wires, which ones? If I have to go into the door, what's the trick to getting the manual lock lever off without breaking it :confused:

Also, did you run the wires thru the hood latch cable grommet on the firewall? If so, how did you seal it back up?

You can get the wires on the drivers side by the fuse panel. I believe the wires are grey and tan. I have pictures somewhere, I'll post them when I find them.

Here you go, you can see where I tapped into the grey and tan wires.

Max, Your pic was just what I needed, finished all the wiring, etc. And it works like a charm!!! Many thanks. If you dont mind, I'd like to email the pic to PNL and request they modify their instrustions to include this step, or provide a good reason why they shouldnt.

This only works on Crew cabs, I assume that is why they don't offer these intructions.
