I have a 05 Duramax, and i have recently installed a Banks Six Gun with Speed Loader, and ever since then i periodically hear some strange noise when im just driving...it's not even when i step on it...to me it kinda sounds as if it's comming from the trubo....i can't really describe what it sounds like, but i know that it's not normal because it dosen't do it on stock hp...also i was wondering about my turbo....evey time i step on it a ton of black smoke comes out and dosen't stop until i let off...do you think it could be that i have a lazy turbo? any suggestions would be great...cause i would really like to fix this even if it means that i have to get another bigger better turbo.

Need details ....conditions vary with programmers, but the black smoke is normal... it should roll out as you get up to speed. Its unburnt diesel...
regarding the noise... need more details... what part of engine... whats it sound like.... warm orcold or both.....

How many lbs. of boost are you seeing with the Banks and on what level? Does it possibly sound like a hissing sound?

it does it mostly when the truck is warm....i heard it again today and i find it sounds as if something is rubbing or scrapping...at first i thought it was the tire rubbing on the wheel well, but then i realized that it wasn't that. today it kinda sounded as if it was comming from the trainee...i don't understand why it would be that because i never run it on full power...i usually keep it on 90ish HP....im positive it has to do with the chip because it never did it before i installed the banks, and it dosen't do it when the truck is on stock power.
