This is driving me nuts, I keep getting this message after each start up. I shut the truck off and it goes away...any ideas. The last few times I have gotten it, it has taken more than one shut-off/re-start. Anyone else have this happen?

There is a reprogram available for this concern. A search will come up with it.

Ive been getting this message for since late oct. Mine use to only do it after i seem to drive in the rain or snowy rds or something...for whatever reason...Latly it has done it whenever...Every time im at the dealer i tell them about the TSB, and everytime they say they checked for codes but nothing, so they wont do anything...This along w/them lackinf to do a several things when i had it in last week, is going to make me a unhappy person when i go back in a week or so....

mine always did it if you left it in 4wd and then started it up the next morning. Sometimes it did it when in 2wd also but usually when in 4wd. Dealer was not much help. My girlfriends Z71 did it but 4wd controls went dead also. Same dealer did a re-flash and problem has been gone for 6 months. It was listed in a TSB. Hers was an 03 if it helps?

I determined it usually does it if I have my foot on the brakes when i start it....which is almost always since it is a ZF. Does the TSB recommend the re-flash?

I got a new BCM in mine for that problem

Hey Gearhead, did the stealer have to install it or was it a do it yourself project? Outta warranty so I hate paying executive wages for a monkey's job.

I have had mine in for the problem and no codes are set. They clear everything at the time and it will still do it occassionally. They supposedly did the reflash with no change.

Mine did the same thing, went in for a reflash and fixed my problem.

This is the second issue I think can be fixed with the re-flash on my truck. Guess I should call the stealer. Thanks for the inputs.
