I have a '93 F-350 crew 4x4, non-turbo. It always starts well when the engine is cold, the problem is when it gets up to temp. it won't restart, you can shut it off, run in the store, grab something real quick and it will re-start, the longer you wait to re-start the harder it is to start and eventually will not start for about 3 hours. Thanks for any help!

might be time for fuel inj. pump overhaul/rebuild, check 6.5 section, stanadyne-roosamaster pump similar to both engines. pump clearances open up, normally pour water over pump and see if it starts easier.

Thanks for the reply, I have found that to be most common response after doing some research. The local "diesel mechanic" said they tested the pump, it is fine, now they want to do a compression check and then send the injectors off to be tested. This all seeme to be insane to me, I can buy injectors for the same price they wanted for labor and testing. Of course none of the later was included in the $100 I paid them for a diagnoses. Thanks again,Jon
