Hello,
I need a 285/70/17 in a load D all terrain / mudder / on off road.
I understand this has been discussed before, I even responded to a thread a long time ago. Thing is, there are new 17" tire manufactures everyday.
So I wanted to gather from the collective knowledge before I get locked into the old stand buys.
Before it was BFG all terrain, Goodyear Mud terrain.
Any new players?
Once again this is a 285/70/17" load D or E.
Basically the equivalent of the 285/75/16 but for a 17" rim.
Thank you.

Hey Bronco,
You can get BFG All Terrain's and maybe the Mudders..not sure... in this size at Sam's Club...special order. Or you can make the mistake I did and go to 4Wheel Parts and buy their brand Pro-Comp AT's AT Extreme's or MT's. Get prepared for sticker shock on the 17's they are much more $$$ compared to 16's!! Putting them on the Bronco or the truck?

Here's a few

The 33/12.50R17 Pro Comps are a bit over 1/2" taller than the 265/70/17's.
My understanding is the BFG's are on national backorder in this size, something about a large military order I heard. That size in other brands seems to be scarce too, don't know if it's related.

Thanks for the responses. These are for the truck. I am thinking about putting the 285/70/17 Toyo on the Eagle alloy 194. It has 5" backspacing.

Nitto makes a 295/70-17. It's only 10mm wider than the 285.
