I am planning on installing my EGR blocker on my LMM. Will it black smoke less?

Yes it will help some from what I hear on stock tune. The tune is what really help to produce less smoke.
It will at least keep the intake cleaner. While at it do the PVC reroute if you haven't.

I am talking about black smoke out of the exhaust..... is that what you mean as well?

I will be doing my 4" turbo back exhaust at the same time and am already running the Edge EVO Race on level 4.

Might have to educate me on the re-routing of the PCV. What does that do exactly when it is re-routed? I will search now for posts on re-routing, I have seen it before just never looked into it much. Guess really never understood what re-routing it did exactly.

It vents the PCV to atmosphere, instead of back into your engine.

Ok, which keeps all the oil soot out of the engine.... thanks guys. Found this when searching:

The PVC lets the vented air from the block go back through the intake system. This coats everything with oil, the boost tubes, the intercooler, and intake.

Blocking the EGR did reduce the amount of black smoke in my exhaust. With the blocker in you build boost quicker and your peak boost will be higher. This in turn reduces smoke. My truck will still black out a two lane road when I mash on it, it just clears up quicker and seems to run cleaner when the boost is up.
