What do you guys think of the Classic 2's, Ive seen them for about 180 a wheel, that would work nicely with my budget. Any bad things about them... maybe ill just save and get the Weld Velociti 8's.

I think they are nice looking for the money. I don't know much about them as far as weight/rating. What do I know I buy wheels for the looks not performance.

I've got a set on the wife's H2.
New 16.5X9.75 where just over $100/ea.
These have around 3300-3500# rating.
They are still shiney after 2 Ohio winters.

180 a wheel, that seems a little much. I checked prices up in alaska and they told me 140 a wheel plus about 10 each for shipping. Then again that was about 6 months ago. I like the look of them, I ended up getting some eagle alloys 187.

Classic 2s should be cheaper than that, I can find them for around 120-150. Or how about these, same thing nearly. Good price for a set, 405 with free shipping. I was thinking about getting some and using the stock center caps, elowe had some like that and they looked good.

The micky thompsons are very nice i have had them b4. But my neighbor has them on his truck which is almost identical to mine and they just dont look right. They are better suited on a chevy 1500 rather than a 2500 IMO, and i am curious about the how good the weight ratings are. Sry i went on that little tangent. But if you do choose these wheels they are very nice quality and i was very happy with them. good luck :)

I have 17x9's Classic 2's on my truck with 37's. Like them alot except for the polishing every so often. Good thing about the polishing is that their pretty easy as they are pretty flat and smooth (not having milled slots or what-nots in them).

Check my sig for pics.

I thought you were selling the lift and tires so you could run faster?
How many miles do you have on the claws, are they wearing good? My brother just got some 315s and they are sweet, I am looking at getting some too when I can.

Elowe what did you do to get the GM center caps to work. My MT Wheels have the surface for the lug nuts recessed and the threads will not catch. Did you space the lug nuts out somehow or were yours not recessed?

Thanks.

I am playing with installing my 16x8 MT Classic II's and 285/75/16 Bridgestone Duelers from my Ford.

I am selling the stuff, was hoping to get it sold before the stuff came off but doesn't look like that is going to happen. All the items are coming off in two weeks.

As for wear, as long as you rotate them, I can't see getting no less than 25000 out of them. Had 17000 on my first set before I got a flat on one. They still have at least 30-60 left on them.

As for the caps, I had/have the same issue. I shaved down the back of the caps a bit so I could bring the plastic lugs in a bit, and are able to grab at least 6 of the lugs (on each) with the threads. I made them work as I hate the big old chrome caps like the ones they come with.

In my pics, you'll also see them installed with my H2 tires. Had the H2 wheels/tires on for a bit, then got the M/T wheels and tires but didn't get the lift installed yet so I installed the 315's on the wheels for a few weeks before I installed the lift.
