I dont have a lot done to my 06. Bullydog, 4" turbo back, afe air filter. My buddy told me that the lift pump and fuel tank pickup are good things to do. Are these mods worth doing to my truck? I dont race or sled pull.

A lift pump will take the stress off the cp3, imo that alone is worth it. Since it will prolong the life of the pump tremendously.

I agree with Tyler/ They should have put a lift pump in as a stock item. Also a beneift I think is if you go with a Airdog or Fass they have extra filtering system down to 2 micron. Better the fuel the longer the injectors should last I would think.

Unfortunately this has NOT been proven with extra filtration. Some will argue but the factory is sufficient. :)

I just put the pickup tube in my tank. You need to do both at the same time and get the hoses and fittings for the lift pump. PPE's directions for the lines are wrong. The factory line will not hook up to the vent line on the sending unit like the directions and PPE's techs say. I will not purchase anything from PPE again after the headache I had with them today.

...Unfortunately this has NOT been proven with extra filtration...

That my friend, may well be true...but really, so what..? Can extra filtration hurt a fuel system.? I think not. I too have extra fuel filtration..if I can catch that 1 measley little 6mU particle that is the one destined to screw up my # 4 injector... Is that not a good thing..? Research has shown it is the 5 Mu to ~10mU particulate matter that is the issue...so why not add extra filtration. The dealer may state that their particular filter is good for and down to 5mU...but is it really.? How do ya know..how do ya prove that.? With Costs driving procurement...I am suspicious and truly have absolutely no idea if the products I buy are really doing what they say they are doing. Being one that does not trust the corporate world in any way shape or form....I tend to buy myself insurance..in this case extra fuel filtration.

Extra filtration may well be redundant and not "proven" to extend the life of ones injectors..but it buys some piece of mind for many of us. If nothing else, I find my filter(s) change interval is near 20,000 miles. works for me.! :D

The lift pump is another story...?? I buy that in a heartbeat...think it is long overdue on my rig. If for nothing else than to eleiminate the lag when ya punch it trying to pass someone on the many 2 lane hwys we have up here.

Cheers,

Stk
