Why does my juice/***. monitor show 177/180 deg after truck has been off for over 24hrs.Temp is actually bouncing between those numbers. The engine temp is also reading 78 deg.....Its 48 deg outside. Is this normal?
I have noticed my truck coolant boiling after I get home.About 45-50 mile trip lots of hills and lots of turns...No load.
Doesnt matter if I am driving hard or easy..still here the coolant bubbling.I can actually feel it in the upper whose.Temp on the juice reads 194.Temp on the dash reading maybe 210....Who is correct?
Thanks

It is the same on mine. I think the edge's temp is more accurate. I believe Chevy's temp guage (and fuel guage) are pessimistic to try to make you take it easy on the truck. As far as the 180 degrees egt, I believe that is heat radiated or conducted from the glow plugs. Somebody else may correct me, but that makes sense to me.
