: 6 Gun..PDA or Pillar Gauges
swamprabbit 07-05-2009, 10:39 PM I'm wanting to get the 6 Gun for my 08 3/4 ton. Wanting to know if yall think it is worth getting the version with the PDA or just get the switch and put in some boost and EGT gauges. I know your not supposed to "need" the guages with this system, but i'd just like to keep an eye on em'.

I would get the pda... The gauges are nice on it. Plus, change on the fly is easier plus you get the tuning options for sl level. You can also scan & clear code with it...
swamprabbit 07-05-2009, 11:10 PM Ya, i would like the fact that you can clear codes with the pda. If you only get the set up with the switch, is it easy to upgrade to the pda or is that a totaly different set up?

Super easy... It is just plug & play...
CRASHNBURN 07-06-2009, 01:28 PM You will have to buy the docking station & a pda... then plug & play.. Just tell jbarker @ banks what you have now & he will set you up.
theunderlord 07-06-2009, 02:06 PM Or just keep is stealthy and secure....
I have the cheaper option for sale (just the module and switch) for $250.00.

CRASHNBURN 07-06-2009, 04:10 PM You can still buy the docking station & pda with it....
theunderlord 07-06-2009, 04:12 PM Exactly! mewhahahaha! :D

I am currently running a Six-Gun setup with a PDA and am very happy with the system. Having the gauge options on display is great - you can only change 2 of the 4 gauges on the display though - not too bad. If you compare buying a six-gun without the pda and then getting gauges the cost is not too much different - something to consider.
The few things i do not like about the Banks setup is that there is no speed limiter adjustment and you cannot delete the DPF. Banks also has a problem with the Regen status - most of the time it does not show on the display that it is in regen - not too big of a deal I assume they will eventually fix that.
Money well spent I would say.
joeburnside 07-08-2009, 08:39 PM Get the PDA well worth the extra money for the ability to change what you monitor and to get realtime info on the status of your truck.
swamprabbit 07-14-2009, 11:58 PM I got another question. I have 65hp Tractor and a 24' Gooseneck Trailer that i pull it with. What level on my 6 gun would be best and safe?

Level 4 & below for with the sixgun in the max they reccommend... I normally tow in level 3...
dragoonranch 09-25-2009, 03:14 AM Does anyone have a link or a picture of what the guages look like on the PDA? I have the speedbrake w/ PDA, but I would like to keep an eye on the pyro/egt when I am pulling big hills. Do the guages come pre-installed on it and I just haven't found it yet, or does it only come with the sixgun/ottomind package? I have EFI now and won't be switching.
joeburnside 09-25-2009, 08:05 AM Dragoonranch, unfortunately the display for the PDA with SpeedBrake does not include the egt or boost. That is one of many improvements they made when creating the new Banks IQ, the ability to monitor the speedbrake performance AND boost & EGT.
dragoonranch 09-26-2009, 08:10 AM Hmm, that is interesting. That is the first I have heard of it. I will definitely have to check it out.

Go to the Banks section in the vendor section..
