Just wondering if anyone has any idea how much power i can safely put to t.case on a 2007 lbz 2500hd? shortly i will be pushing 5-600hp. 2-wheel or 4-wheel make any difference?

you have asked a very good question. most are concerned with the tranny hp limits, but i haven't heard anything about the t-case. sorry i have no idea, nut i'm sure someone will clime in soon. here is a friendly bump to keep this thread going.

the stock t-case will handle WAYYY more than the stock engine or trans ever will. ;)

Whats way more? if guys are breaking in/output shafts on tranies and such how much more can the chain and shafts in the t case really hold 900 HP+? The old 203s and 208s didnt like much power. I blew up a 203 with a 305 in front of it granted no t case was built for wheelies.:D

the T-case is good for more then then 800hp. the drag truck "maxed out" runs mid 9's with a stock T-case.

yep!! Surprisingly...IMO its the one drivetrain/powertrain part where no one has really found the exact breaking point. Sure, some people have blown them up as freak accidents, but basically at less than 1000rwhp I wouldnt worry about it!

only big problem is pump rub. if you have that issue, then that could lead to breakage due to lake of luberication..

same, they'll handle just as much without a problem, but like stated, chit does happen on occasions. so all in all, nothing is honestly bullit proof.

I did a 50psi boosted launch in Max'd Out weekend before last, basically a 4 wheel white smoke burn out for about 300 feet. Tires spinning so hard the tranny when up through the gears into high (4th in a duraflite) then downshifted when the tires caught and scrubbed off the tire speed. T-case was fine, did find a stress fracture the next day in the front diff case after a additional 4 or 5 passes. New engine currently at about 1100hp. T-case and differentials seem pretty strong. Max'd Out was a Missouri farm truck for the first 100K of it's life, who knows how much the front differential got abused.

No not that I'm aware, people were so stunned they just kind of stared. That was the look I got from Rob when I get back to the pits. Boost got away from me as I was spooling it up and as the lights came down I let it rip. Won't do that again.:D
