Do you have any reservations about the Evolution programmer from edge??

A buddy of mine purchased one and is very happy!! More power than the juice but no monitor. trade off I guess.

Thats all I can offer, don't know that much about powerstrokes. but I know the evolution works nicely from experience and from what I've read.

Good luck.

I have the evolution programmer from edge with BD programing sold by BD performance products there programing is better the just the stock evolution programmer. I have a 2000 F250 superduty ext cab long box 4x4 auto 3.73 gears with factory upgrade air filter {donaldson} 4 inch exhaust is my next upgrade. It is very easy to install.

I have a question. I have a 1995 F-250 Powerstroke 7.3 and had a Superchip tuner that gave me problems. I sent it back and got an Edge Evolution. My question (keep in mind that I just got the Edge today) I don't seem to feel very much difference when using any of the three programs on take off. I haven't felt any difference with any of the programs. The Superchip tuner I did but when I would stop at a stop sign my truck would die. Sent it to Superchips and they kept it for a month and when I got it back it wouldn't accelerate. So I decided to go with Edge. Has anyone had similar problems not telling any difference using the Edge Evolution?

Well I returned my truck to stock and now it won't start. The wait to start light won't come on. I then tried to reprogram back to the edge program and it won't even go into the programming screen. It looks like I may need a new computer or to have the computer reprogrammed from the dealer. I think I am going to send that @##@! Edge back and either get a Bully Dog Chip or after all of this say screw it! Any ideas on how much it would cost me to have the computer reprogrammed from the dealer? And also worse if I have to have a new computer how much that will be? I have a 1995 F-250, 3in downpipe

I had good luck when I was running the edge evolution, I liked it much better than the super chips microtuner. Bear i dont know why your truck wont start, but you wont see much difference between the programs because the stock injectors are tiny and it doesnt take much to max them out.

Well I ordered a PCM from Jody Tipton today and he is going to send me a chip programmed for my truck. 3rd time the charm (I hope). From Superchips to Edge Evolution to DP-Tuners. Something is bound to work out for me.

I have Edge evolution on my personal truck and Superchips 1705 on my work truck. The power is great on the 80hp race tune with the edge but the transmission shifting sucks. The extreme is too much fuel for my truck and just smokes like crazy. Towing is just a little more powerful than stock. The 1705 in 80hp mode doesnt feel quite as powerful or snappy as the edge 80hp setting but transmission performance is perfect with the 1705. If I were to do it over again and didnt have warranty to worry about with a true chip I would get a chip. These programmers just arent worth the $380-400 they want for them. If you really want a programmer for some reason Id look into the 1705. Good luck.
