I just bought a Superchips programmer and have my truck setup on the performance tune. There is only 10,000 miles on it, after i programmed it i drove it for 15 to 20 min and then the next morning started it and it now sounds like a 24 valve cummings. Any thoughts?

Also has anybody went through the 2 hour re-learning steps for the allison? Is it worth it?

Mine definitely has a different sound when under the influence of a tune, but not much louder than it was stock. I am not using SuperChips, though so not really apples to apples.

I have reset my trans twice. Doesn't come close to that amount of time, though. It resets immediately and the shifts smooth out in a few blocks.

I would be calling superchips tech when they are open.
I use the Quadzilla Stealth II the first tune I put in was the econ no dpf tune.
I then tried the stock no dpf, the engine made more noise like what you discribe which I didnot care for.
I put the econ no dpf back which was closer to stock engine sound compaired to the stock setting), great for me and has been in since 11/08 tows great as well.
I did not want to put anymore H.P. than what I had to.
