my 94 Chev C1500 6.5tb temp gauge stopped working i changed the coolant temperature sensor on the front of the motor. but the gauge is still not working. is there an other sensor that the gauge reads from or is that the only one.

That sensor is for the ECM. The one you want is on the front side of the driver side cylinder head. My truck has a single green wire connected to it.

Aparently your napa guy is a parts dummy. I've gotten several "TEMP SENDING UNITS" from napa. The dumb ones allways are quick to say it's a dealer only item. Temp sensor is for the ecm and temp sender is for the gauge.

Drove into town to NAPA to see the unit. low and be hold it was the rite number but the wrong one in the box. my NAPA guy is a woman with years in automotive industry with a new employee that is a guy that is just not very good automotive wise but thinks he is (that's minimum wage). So she ordered me one should be in tomorrow morning.
