I am still on stock Rods , and single CP3 still also, and the trucks runs great . double cp3 will certainly require a built motor .

as long as your not adding more fuel you with the dual cp3 you wont be hurting internal engine parts should be fine theres a few guys running the MPI twins on stock internals and stock CP3's

Yes, Rob's engine is stock except for injectors, and the twins of course. I'd bet the majority of people who are running twins are doing it on a stock engine. My 07 daily driver is stock. It the twin CP's and lots of fuel that will get you on a stock motor.

Twin CP3s won't kill your stock bottom end. Twin CP3s and oversize nozzles should allow you to keep your timing & pulse width down and your rods/pistons will thank you for it. It is all in the tuning.

To a point I agree with you, very few of us are capable of not turning it up at some point when we have more fuel available. That's kind of the whole point isn't it?:D

I'd guess there are more stock engines out there with twin turbos than there are built engines.

i bent all eight rods in my engine within two weeks of installing the twins. this was on a single cp3 with PPE tuneing. I would say running non twin specific tuneing was a big contributer to my bent rods. IF you do go with MPI twins i would definately hit up Idaho Rob to get the tuneing worked out for you.

Ive run MPI twins with both stock rods and aftermarket billet rods. The billet rods broke, but the stock rods are holding up just fine! :D

I would say you will be just fine running stock rods. :thumb:

Didn't you have a quality control problem with your rods Ben? I thought that was the reason for them going out.

Seems like the twins help the LBZ Pistons live. So with twins do the rods become the weak point in a LBZ?

I doubt it unless you add dual CP3's or poor tunning . LBZ rods have proven to be pretty tuff , just dont expect the them to be as strong as real rods . I dont think a twinned truck on a single CP3 could bend them though .
