Can you run the edge J/A with no other mods? I plan on doing the intake and a 4" exhaust in the near future, but I have the chip now. My question is, should I wait until I've done the exhaust and air intake, or put the chip on now. Thanks, you guys are awesome.

That is fine as long as you don't change the max egt setpoint or set the poer level above 3. Good luck.

You should be fine, just watch your egts and tranny slippage. the intake is really not necessary, but the exhaust will greatly help in the reduction of egts. i would save the money from the intake and save until you could get some tranny upgrades. even if the tranny upgrade is one of the lower ones to handle the extra powewr from the edge. if you plan on going all out with the truck, then get the higher upgrades available. good luck and have fun.

You will be fine. dont go above level three until you get some guages and exhaust will help a lot.

max08,
That's one of the beautiful functions of the Edge with the De-fueling EGT function of the Attitude. It can be as safe or dangerous as you program it to be. Call us if you have any questions etc.

Max08,
Lots of good intel here. Hopefully you have already installed the EGT sensor for the E/J, if not get er' done. If you are going tow suggest level 1 only until the exhaust is upgraded. The CAT and OEM exhaust obstruct exhaust flow. ;)
Agree with NCMIC's recommendation about saving money on intake. Exhaust should be very high priority when running any chips/programmers. Later. JJ :)

I play all the time, defuel 4-5 shift only.
Low fuel boast 5 (max smoke)
I stay in level 3 or 4 most of the time.
Go ahead and run 5-5 for some real fun, haven't had a tranny limp yet.
I got a 5" exhaust STILL setting in the shop since February.
I tow on level 1 or 2 if not maxed out on weight.
I'd stay w/ the stock air filter.
