I put an ATS Tran Temp gauge on (made by Faze). My stealer put a tranny cooler on last year due to clutch problems (before I got CPMac's dual disc kit). It seems the ambient temp, speed, length of drive time, and likely (I don't do any) trailer pullin have impacts on heat. My tranny temp barely reaches 100*F on 40 minutes drive to work. I did a 1+hr drive on the freeway at 75mph and it got up to 170*F. Next week Iwill go on a long drive and the ambient temp should be in the 80+*F. will be interesting to see how high it goes. If it tops at 170*F I will assume that is when the cooler kicks in. More later . . . .
