Hey guys, I know another "which tire is better" thread. I am looking at getting a set of 20x10 xd diesels, and a set of new tires as well. I want something that will look pretty good but yet have good tread wear/ road noise. I really like the look of the toyo m/t's and have heard pretty good things about them, but I also like the look of mickey thompson atz radials to. I live in the country, pull an enclosed trailer about 2 times a week during the summer, drive highway quite a bit, and don't go offroading much at all, except for praire roads when I'm in the field ect. What do you guys think? Looking at either one in a 305/55-20, thanks in advance.

People always have good things to say on the Toyo's... do a quick search for "toro" and there's many threads of praise.

check out nitto tera grapplers, as far at the two tires you mentioned up top, the toyo is a mud terrain and the mickey thompson is an all terrain so both are going to have their advantages and disavantages... with what you mentioned up to tho, your better off with the atz, they are probably going to last longer and be quieter but like you said, i also have only ehard good things about both of them, i think youll be happy with both. Eric.

Thanks for your help guys,
Eric, its funny you say that, I actually have nitto's right now haha, but I am actually selling them with my rims and figured I would try somthing else. Like you said, the mickey's would probably last longer, but the mud terrains look a bit more aggressive, almost every post I've read on here about toyo's has been positive, but I didn't read much about anyone towing much with them, thats why I think the atz's would be better. To many decisions:rolleyes:
Thanks for the reply's

I've had my Toyo MT's for a little over 20K miles, rotated them 4 times. Towing a 40' 5ver probably about 4K miles out of the 20K. They will probably be good for another 10-15K miles, so next summer I'll be looking for some new rubber. Just to give you an idea of how they wear for me. Very quiet considering they're an MT, load ratings are on the high side, which I like. I'm going Nitto Terra Grapplers next, just to try something different myself. Chris

how loud and rough are the m/t's compared to the open country a/t's? Do they wear about the same?
