i know its been covered a lot cause iv read most of the post but theres a few questions i was kinda wondering about, is it very hard to do? does it take very long? will it raise or lower egt's? does it increase smoke very much and finally is it worth it?

Looks like you did all the other stuff to your truck, so why not? Just don't move it to far.

I would follow Canadian Rigger's Thread about his 2000 and see what he says after he unbumps his to try and lower EGTs...

well i just did this to mine and i cant really tell much, at least i dont think i can feel it. i scribed the mark and moved it 1mm. i tried movin it further but it wouldnt go. the slot in the plate isnt big enough to move past 1mm or so. when i started it it ran rough for about half a minute and then settled out.

I am doing to much stuff at once here, i wouldn't trust my results with a 10' pole...
I don't plan on doing the unbump for awhile...

i started my truck a while ago and my buddy was watchin and he said it let out a puff of black smoke so maybe the bump did work.
i have been lookin at some of canadian riggers old bump pics. mine just wouldnt move that far. i pushed it all the way too the right and it only moved maybe 1mm. oh well, its runnin fine and its put back together for now so i aint gonna mess with it.

9465,
If I can do it anyone can do it, just print off CR's pictures, READ TDG directions, and take your time. I don't have gauges YET for EGT, as far as milage can't tell a difference, but I haven't ran but 2 tanks of fuel since doing the "bump". Smoke, WOT I see a reasonable amount but I am runnig stock boost until I get some gauges.
