Will my Ally need to "relearn" after installing the Hypertech? Don't know anything about it so would love your input!! Thanks.

Yes, but it does not take long. After you program it, take it out and run it up and down through all of the gears a few times. After that, you should be in pretty good shape. That is what I did with it and never had any problems.

Thanks David. Does uploading the program from the Hypertech automatically "reset" the tranny for re-learning? Thanks!

Yes, it will do it automatically. When I installed it in my pickup, I did not have any problem at all with the tranny. Hypertech is one of the milder tunes available and the Allison seemed to adapt pretty fast.

That's exactly what I was hoping for...... Now, let's hope that will do for a while. As seen on this site many times before, once you get started there is NO END!!!!

That's what has happened to me. Right now I am reading about tranny upgrades.

After the hypertech installation, I sometimes "defuel" when shifting. It is very annoying. Any thoughts on this?
