The Pup should guide you through it with on screen instructions.

Oh also remove the required fuses on an 01-03 there all inside I think, and on 04 they are outside, plug the programmer in and the instructions are shown on the unit. May have to turn key before programmer turns on but usualy I think it tells you to turn on the key when you plug it in

RTFM :D You will need to read the manual because there are certain fuses you have to pull etc. If you don't read the manual you can have problems.

For those that may forget to pull a fuse, I never pull a fuse when I install a Quad, Bully Dog or Edge Box. No problems yet.

If you have Onstar you'd better pull the fuses, and if you need a copy of the instructions I can scan them to your Email. Jim.

Ditto on my '05 with Predator. Got tired of pulling 4 fuses every time. I suspect they tell you to do that to avoid power spikes or demand situations that might interupt or corrupt the programming, but probably pretty safe without pulling the fuses. Worst case, the instructions seemed to indicate that if Onstar was still enabled (no fuse pulled) you might interupt the programming and it would have to start over...I also assume that if you corrupted a tune/program, you should always be able to restore the default programming and restart again...

Shrug.
