i need to install a fuel temp gauge in my fuel lines because i am running a vegetable oil fuel system and the temp is critical. I have been told the best place is on the return line from the injection pump - is that what the hose is that comes right out the top of the pump? I know there are the small hoses that connect all the injectors that sends the excess fuel back; so is there also a fuel return line that sends excess fuel straight from the injection pump as well? can anyone explain how this system works? I am not sure i understand it.

If you look carefully at the front of your engine, you will see a metal line that goes to the top of the injection pump and also to the injectors, it is also attached to the passenger side frame rail where it returns to the fuel tank.;)
