I think he's talking about a centrispin. We use them on Waukesha and Caterpillar engines out here in the Gulf of Mexico. It uses the oil pressure of the engine to spin a spray head, like a pressure washer tip, to create an oil centrifuge that collects all of the heavy particulates on the wall of the canister in which it is housed. After each oil change, every 2500 hours running 24/7, I check it and it has a heavy buildup of a parrifin type substance that is removed in the replaceable cardboard cartridge and sent in for analysis along w/ an oil sample. They say these really help in filtering the oil and I believe it. It has extended our overhaul intervals from every 12 to 18 months to every 36 to 42 months. Remember, these things run 24/7/365, but on another note they are really clean burning natural gas engines not diesels. Although I have never seen one compact enough for automotive application I sure would like to and would definately run one if anybody has any knowledge of one. There are a couple of other name brands that I cannot think of right now but I will do more research soon. I know Parker makes a common one.

Something like this? http://dodgeram.org/rides/14/John_P/ Looks like he got his from www.dieselproducts.com (http://www.dieselproducts.com/). I'm sure there are others. That's one of the first things I saw that wasn't air powered using a google search. The ones I have seen on class 8 trucks were air powered. In the garage with the hood up and standing next to it, the little bugger would sound like a turbo winding down after shutting down the engine.

Our Ottawa yard hustlers use spinners which use air to operate. They use the B5.9-C cummins engine.

ive talked to a supplier of these things and they don not void factory warrenty as it is a supplimental oil cleaning system and no mods are neccessary to the existing filering system.they said they have done 1 duramax and they ran the return hose into the side of the filler neck.will update further after i get mine.275.00 cost
