I have noticed a clunking in my steering lately. I know it seems like it would be the ISS, and I put a muffler clamp in it but it did not change anything, so therefore I am wondering if it might be a pitman/idler arm or something else in the steering linkage. I have noticed a slight shudder just before coming to a complete stop as well. Any ideas?? Thanks.

Lift the front end, grab the wheel at 6 and 12 o'clock and check for movement; if you have slop, you need to replace the hub assembly.
Again, grab wheel at 3 and 9 o'clock and check for slop. If so, the pitman/idlers need attention.
Check the hub assembly FIRST and eliminate that, because otherwise, it will give you a false pitman/idler diagnosis.
