OK Guys I started another thread in the LB7 section but I am not getting very far with it.

Basically Sat morning the 04 Dmax blew the Ignition A fuse, wouldnt start. Replaced the fuse and drove it home. Next day truck started and ran fine but when we went to shut it down for the day it kept running!!! We finally got it to cut off by putting the key back ignition and turning it on and back off again, and now it will not even attempt to start. All the lights in the cab and dash work but nothing happens when you turn the key.

Any ideas? We really need some help.

THANKS!!!

Cousin just called, starter looks to have caught on fire... This is the first problem we had with this truck.

What could cause this?

Seems to me that the ignition switch was your problem in the first place. Then by turning it over and over without letting the starter cool down, the plastic on the solenoid melted and the wires inside shorted out causing them to burn. Charlie

Truck is still having problems, just fried the starter solenoid. What could this be? I am leaning towards a frayed wire in the steering column or something.
