: rear tires on 2wd?

First off, mine is 03, LT, EC, SB, DM/AL 2WD. The OEM Bridgestones were 245s.
The first 8k-9k, I was maybe enjoying that D-Max power a little too much, and when I got around to a tire rotation, the rears were worn badly! They spent the rest of their time on the front. Now @ 21k.
Yesterday I purchased one more B'Stone like OEM, pulled spare off steel wheel.Used the spare and the purchased tire for the front and the best of the 2 removed for the spare on that ugly black wheel.
The rear tires are not yet down to the wear bars and I plan to look around for something with a little more aggressive tread pattern for the rear. I am going to stay at stock size, this ain't my hot rod.
I'm not looking to make an off roader out of this truck, but after the experience of getting stuck on wet grass twice, I figure I need a little more grip.
I don't want to get something that does too much roaring and howling, just a little more grip.
Any body got any suggestions, comments?

I also have a 2wd and it came with Bridgestone 245 as OE tires, they were wore out at 55,000 KM about34.000 miles, I replaced them with Michelins and they have been great. The tread on the Michelins is just a little more agressive than the Bridgestones but they seem to run quieter on the hwy,I have 40,000 miles on these tires and still have plenty of tread. As far as getting stuck on wet grass try backing up first as reverse gear is lower ratio than 1st this works good up here in the snow.

Dirty old man, your story about getting stuck twice on grass made me look at your name first as I thought I had written that post and forgotten about it. I have the same problem with traction as you do. I'm suprized at the lack of traction on wet surfaces. I still would not buy 4 wheel drive but you have to watch a little in some conditions.
