I just have to say that when you see lots of posts of technical questions, one after another, you need to see a (shall I term it) light-hearted post.
Man, I LOVE driving my truck. The best part, on the highway, on a hill, pull to the left to pass, in 6th gear no less, punch it and hear the turbo whine. Pull baby, pull. :ro) I get a bigger grin than what I already have when I do that. My fiance notices my face too and just laughs at me. :) Man, my face hurts. :(
I guess I'm done.
Have a good one!!

I know exactly what y'all mean. I love driving mine as well especially with my 10.5' slide-in camper loaded up. It weighs in at 3500# and that Dmax just plays with it. The Ally makes sure that all that power isn't wasted. :cool2: ..........SWH...

I took my 02 onyx chev 2500hd d/a out for a run towing my 6000lb okanagan 5th today (hi shuffman from kelowna ...nice choices) for the first time and WHAT A HOOT. With tow haul on I felt like I was driving a semi with no load. All the power AND brakes I've ever wanted. No spool up, right with traffic just soooo impressive. My face hurts too. Really looking forward to the coquahalla and rogers pass. Gonna eat those fer dinner. When you live in a valley surrounded by huge mountain passes like I do they should make you buy this truck before any trailer/camper can be written on.
BTW shuffman how are your camper decals holding up? Mine are getting a bit faded on one side and I'm wondering what to spruce them up with. Any thoughts? PM me if this is too off topic.
Cheers,
Paul

As I read these posts a tear runs down my cheek and a smile on my face.... I ALSO AM A DURAMAXAHOLIC. I have a GTP Grand Prix supercharged and I haven't drivin it since I bought this truck because I can't drive anywhere without taking my truck ....Its like riding a V-TWIN motorcycle ... the rumble, the torque, the turbo spooling... Hangon I need a kleenex ...
Just a amazing machine and thats all I have to say about that. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif

I couldn't agree more! I find myself looking forward to road trips, hauling stuff, towing stuff, you name it. If it envolves the truck I'm there! :)
I too have a car (a crappy one) that I drive for fuel mileage back and forth to work (to save wear and tear on my truck) on monday-thrusday. Friday however, I gotta splurge and drive the truck. There's no better feeling than making a fool of a honda driver with a 7K pound truck. :ro)

I hole heartly agree. Love driving this truck. We never though about a 5th wheel or camping. Got the Durmax for pulling farm equipment and dozer. Wound up with 5th wheel got rid of equipment and dozer. Can't wait till work dosen't interfier with traveling with 5th wheel. I drive any where from 200 to 400 mile to work every week I get a blast out of running the Inter-state with brand X trucks loaded or empty. I usely trade every 3 years but I may hold on this one for a nother year. Love this truck 65,000 miles of enjoyment.:grd: ):h ):h
